Born in the USA from mexican parents, PANCA is an Illustrator-painter-muralist that resides in Tijuana Mexico. Has been working between Mexico and the United States since 2004. Her work has been on galleries, magazines, on the streets and even on the skin. This binational, bilingual and bicultural artist feeds her art from real life and pours it out full symbolism.
Is one of PANCA’s few intervention-collaboration pieces. It is an oil painting made in the 50’s, that with new traces and brushstrokes turns a “serious” portrait into a playful and bizarre one. “Youth” touches the subject of the portrait and of female beauty in a way that is not intended in more traditional stances.
